Connectivity Verification task
Connectivity Verification has been through alpha and beta testing and is currently being worked on by the Unetwork team ahead of wider release.
We trialled the Scout component during beta testing. Scout involved finding phone plans in our country that had not yet been logged, where international calls and SMS were included. These plans were entered into the Scout and Runner website at scoutandrunner.com.
Each phone plan had to be recorded accurately, including the plan name, price, phone company, included minutes, and the exact list of countries covered for international calls and SMS.
This task required careful checking. During beta testing, we were paid 5 UP per approved plan and earned 45 UP for about 3 hours of work. Each user could upload a maximum of 10 plans. Of the 10 we uploaded, 9 were approved and 1 was rejected because we missed a detail.
The second component is called Runner. We have not tested Runner yet, and it is also currently offline. Runner is expected to involve using a second phone plan identified by Scout, with the plan reimbursed, to make test calls so international call routes can be verified.
This task may work differently when it returns. When Connectivity Verification is available again, we will test it and add a fuller guide. For now, these screenshots show what the Scout beta looked like.
